Global Payments s.r.o., the JV between Erste Group Bank, Caixa and Global Payments Inc as one of the most important payment technologies companies in the world, providing processing services in many countries, has signed an agreement with PayCore to spread the SoftPOS solution in the European region.
Offering innovative and end-to-end payment technology solutions to its customers in more than 35 countries, PayCore has signed an agreement on SoftPOS solution with Global Payments s.r.o., the leading payment company in Central Europe. Global Payments will grow with the “PayCore SoftPOS” solution in the digital acceptance processes of merchants.
PayCore’s SoftPOS solution enables NFC-enabled Android smartphones and tablets to be used as POS terminals without any additional devices. With this solution, merchants can accept payments via contactless cards, mobile wallets and wearable devices, regardless of the amount, with their personal mobile devices. Thanks to this solution, payments exceeding a certain amount can also be made safely using a PIN.
Stating that the SoftPOS solution is a revolution in the field of payment technologies, PayCore CEO Turgut Güney said, “Our SoftPOS solution, which is among the world firsts in this field, makes a great contribution to the spread of contactless payments today, when contactless payments are becoming increasingly important, by turning smartphones and tablets into POS devices. As a result of this cooperation agreement we have made with Global Payments, we aim to further strengthen our presence in Europe.”
“At Global Payments, we have created a differentiated model in the payments technology landscape. Our customers value our capabilities and reach, which enable them to offer seamless payment experiences,” said Igor Žganjer, Managing Director at Global Payments s.r.o. “Our partnership with PayCore allows our merchants to accept payments on Android phones and other devices, resulting in a frictionless transaction and expanding the card acceptance to whomever has an Android phone.”
According to the signed agreement, Global Payments will undertake the distribution of SoftPOS solution in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Austria in the first stage. For the next stage, the plan is to expand the application to other countries such as Malta, Hungary, and other Central European countries, where Global Payments operates.
